Nike Air Foamposite One – “ParaNorman”

Celebrating the August 17 premiere of the stop-motion animated film ParaNorman from LAIKA – the same Phil Knight-founded production studio behind 2009′s Coraline – Nike is set to release a special edition of the brand’s Air Foamposite One. Decked out in black with neon green accents throughout, the kicks feature ParaNorman branding in place of the usual Penny Hardaway logos and see jagged-stitched embroidery alongside “WEIRD WINS” text on the heel pull tabs. Inspired by the film’s visual effects and zombie grave-escape, an offset green smoke graphic appears across the black Foamposite shell. Limited to only 800 pairs worldwide, the special edition kicks are up for grabs – simply follow @ParaNorman on Twitter and tweet a weird photo of yourself as a kid alongside “#WEIRDWINS ParaNorman Foamposites” for a chance to win.

RONNIE FIEG X ASICS GT-II “SUPER RED 2″

Image

Here is our first look at the GT-II “Super Red 2,” Ronnie Fieg’s next collaboration with Asics.  The best part about these Asics collabs is the quality.  It is so much better materials than the new Nikes and Jordans that are making the hypebeasts go crazy.  I slept on the last few pairs of GT-II’s, but I’ll be getting my hands on these.  Shoutout to Ronnie Fieg for his vision on these sneakers.ImageImage

When these finally release, you can find them at the Official Kith Webstore.

Complex Reveals The Top 100 Style Trends Of The Decade

ImageComplex Magazine never lets me down.  It is definitely my favorite lifestyle website to check out.  This time, Complex takes us on a trip down memory lane with their top 100 style trends of the last ten years.  Some of them are timeless style choices while some came and when before you could even try them out.  I’m going to miss some of them, but I’m glad trucker hats and tall tees are over and done with.  By the way, look for me (Kev) as an intern for Complex in New York City this summer; that is a definite possiblilty.  Check out all 100 style trends in order right here, and make sure you browse the rest of the site too.

Chicks In Kicks

For all the sneakerheads out there, Complex Magazine brought us 100 great photos of beautiful women wearing some iconic Jordans.  I’m sure you’ll all agree that these ladies definitely do Mike’s kicks justice.  Take a look at all 100 here.

Maestro Knows: Special Edition (Frones)

Late on this one, but here is Levi Maestro’s most recent video featuring his new Vans Sneakers.  I posted the teaser video a while back, so I felt this was necessary.  The footage for this film was compiled over several years of Maestro’s filming, which really shows the dude’s journey and how far he has come. Respect.

Freehand Profit – Black Cement III Gas Mask

Artist and sneakerhead Freehand Profit is at it again, as he continues to show off some of the most intricate custom, artistic designs with yet another gas mask unveiling.  This is not for smoking, just an artistic statement. I’m impressed.
